The DRHEAM-CUP / GRAND PRIX DE FRANCE DE COURSE AU LARGE was created in 2016 by Jacques CIVILISE, in response to a need for a Great Open Sea Race for sailboats, French, in summer, open to many types monohull and multihull boats, and professional and amateur sailors.
The DRHEAM-CUP / GRAND PRIX DE FRANCE DE COURSE AU LARGE is a major nautical event with high added value, recognized since its 2nd edition as the French reference in the concert of international Grandes Courses au Large "OPEN" making all more 600 nautical miles, such as:
The FASTNET-RACE, England
The MIDDLE SEA RACE, Italy
THE SYDNEY-HOBART RACE, Australia
The CARIBBEAN 600, Antigua (Apart from the Vendée Globe, Route du Rhum-Destination Guadeloupe, Transat Jacques Vabre, Volvo Ocean Race races which are part of the category of transoceanic or oceanic races).
